Date: 24/07/2010
Leader: Melanie Niblett
Trip Type: Day Walk
Description: This is a relaxing day to take in the views from the Coolum coastline to the Blackall Ranges. We start with Mt Ninderry near Yandina which overlooks the Maroochy River catchment. A 45 minute walk takes us to the top.
We stop for morning tea at Fairhill Native Plant Nursery where there is a café, native plant nursery, gardens, picnic tables and shop.
We drive on 20km to Mt Coolum (208m), which is only 1.5km from the beach. A climb of approx. an hour is rewarded with 360 degree views from the top.
Finish time should not be later than 1pm leaving options for those who want to visit the Coolum boardwalk and beach before heading home.
